Got PORC?

Pictures from today's PORC visit. Anacostia is loving the BBQ pork, Smokey Joe, and the Vegan Sloppy Joe, The foodtruck will be here until 1:30pm today. Thanks to Jeff and the PORC crew, DHCD, and DLSBD for coming out. Looking forward to more visits from PORC -- and we hope they bring more of their friends!

ABOUT HISTORIC ANACOSTIA

Historic Anacostia is a neighborhood in Ward 8 located in Washington, D.C.

Incorporated in 1854 as "Uniontown" the neighborhood was one of the first suburbs in the District of Columbia. The name "Anacostia" comes from an early settlement of Necostan or Anacostan Indians who lived on the banks of the Anacostia River.

"The core of the Anacostia historic district was incorporated in 1854 and is approximately 20 squares.
