Maddie has been found!

Thanks to everyone who looked for her and posted flyers Maddie was found right here in Anacostia and returned to the dog rescue! What a happy end to this story! :)

ABOUT HISTORIC ANACOSTIA

Historic Anacostia is a neighborhood in Ward 8 located in Washington, D.C.

Incorporated in 1854 as "Uniontown" the neighborhood was one of the first suburbs in the District of Columbia. The name "Anacostia" comes from an early settlement of Necostan or Anacostan Indians who lived on the banks of the Anacostia River.
