Congress Heights on the Rise has the first review of the new community thrift store in the former Sunbelt Rentals. In a nutshell, the new store is a winner! The Outfitters store is open Tuesday - Saturday, 11am - 6:30pm.

ABOUT HISTORIC ANACOSTIA

Historic Anacostia is a neighborhood in Ward 8 located in Washington, D.C.

Incorporated in 1854 as "Uniontown" the neighborhood was one of the first suburbs in the District of Columbia. The name "Anacostia" comes from an early settlement of Necostan or Anacostan Indians who lived on the banks of the Anacostia River.
