On Saturday, August 10th, this year's
LUMEN8ANACOSTIA finale party went out with a bang and flashing lights to boot! This year's wrap party celebrated the six week LUMEN8ANACOSTIA festival. The festival finale party took place in the brand new
Anacostia Arts Center located at 1231 Good Hope Rd SE. The celebration included live reggae, go-go, and punk rock performances by local bands. Glow dance performances rocked the black box theater, a collection of diverse art exhibits lined the gallery spaces, and there were even free chair massages!
Los Verracos had an amazing pop-up restaurant that kept attendees full and satisfied with mouthwatering Caribbean eats such as jerked chicken and jerked to-fu.
