Checking in on MLK & Good Hope

The remains of the collapsing building have been removed and the pit has been filled in. Looking forward to seeing what is next for the famous corner, it is indeed the gateway into Anacostia. Any ideas of what you would like to see grace the lot?

ABOUT HISTORIC ANACOSTIA

Historic Anacostia is a neighborhood in Ward 8 located in Washington, D.C.

Incorporated in 1854 as "Uniontown" the neighborhood was one of the first suburbs in the District of Columbia. The name "Anacostia" comes from an early settlement of Necostan or Anacostan Indians who lived on the banks of the Anacostia River.
