April 6-7 | Closure of 11th Street, SE Between M and K Streets, SE

Additional Weekend Closures Planned for April 20-22 and May 4-6

(Washington, DC) As part of the 11^th Street Bridge Project, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close 11^th Street, SE between M Street, SE and K Street, SE on April 6 and 7 from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. each day. 

Additional  weekend closures are also scheduled to occur April 20 - 22, 2013 and May 4 – 6, 2013  and will begin at  7 a.m. each Saturday morning and continue through 5 a.m. the following Monday.  The closures will allow crews to demolish the old outbound freeway bridge over 11^th Street, SE.  

Signed detours will be posted during the closures.

DETOURS

· Northbound 11^th Street traffic will be detoured via M Street, SE to 8^thStreet, SE, then onto G Street, SE to access 11^th Street north of K Street, SE.

· Motorists traveling southbound on 11th Street will be detoured to I Street, SE, then to 8^th Street, SE and M Street, SE to access 11^thStreet south of M Street, SE.

In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions, this work will be rescheduled and an updated advisory will be distributed.
